About
Of Irish nationality and based in Spain, Erin de Burca is a self taught artist who has been painting professionally since 2006. For many years her inspiration came from architecture and the built environment, in particular the Dublin suburbs where she grew up. In recent years, her appreciation of nature has found its way into her work and led her to be inspired both by the coastline where she currently lives and her memories of African wildlife. Her interest is in conveying the sense of presence we achieve when in natural surroundings and an appreciation of simple everyday moments in nature.
