I left Dublin in 1982 to work in Harare (Zimbabwe) and Madrid before settling in Calpe, Alicante in 1986. My time is divided between work in my Calpe studio and teaching.
Frequent visits to Dublin have been a source of inspiration for a lot of my cityscapes. These visits have made me aware of the permanence of my identity and how my perception is coloured by Irish culture in spite of having lived as many years abroad as in Ireland.
